So The World Didn’t End Today, Good Thing Because Most Were Unprepared

Pretty good insurance policy right here…

So The World Didn’t End Today, Good Thing Because Most Were Unprepared. And why should we be prepared? “It won’t happen while I’m alive!” Right, that’s what people think.

What would you do if you had only ten years left? I mean, besides squander the first few years (or more) by doing nothing.

Only a handful really feared the worst today. My take is it was a sensationalized and poorly executed marketing effort, with good intentions – inspire people to at least give the end some thought.

That’s what I do, but my approach is much more quiet. Subtle.

Most of us haven’t met yet. Hello, I’m jeff noel, The Blog Whisperer, ┬áThe Internet’s Only Five-A-Day Blogger, every morning whispering to the world, “Live, before you die!”

Long story short, I created a 100-day challenge for myself, to write in my five blogs every day for 100 days. All of this because I promised 30 years ago I’d write a book for my kids. That was 26 months and 4,000 blog posts ago – April Fools Day 2009.

Well, life is funny sometimes. No kids, instead, just one child. Parenthood finally achieved after 8 years and a life savings spent. Yee-Haw!

Mid Life Celebration is where this all starts. Five blogs: Mind, Body, Spirit, Money, HQ. Call them Life’s Big Choices, or Parenting 101, the basics.

This blog, as well Leadership Is Like Training A Puppy, Wellness Challenge, The Blog Whisperer, and Life’s Big Choices are where I write when I don’t have enough time to write trademark jeff noel short & pithy blog posts.

Don’t Die With A Book In You

Fort Dodge, Iowa hotel lobby, last week.

We all have an amazing story to tell. Every last one of us. The challenge is this:

  1. We don’t believe this
  2. Even if we did, we wouldn’t know where to start
  3. Even if we started, we’d find a way to quit
  4. And after we’d quit, we’d live with regret for the rest of our lives

Don’t die with a book in you. Start here.
